i disagree. It would be one thing if we had no talent. It's another when we have a shitload of talent, but the OC constantly calls this conservative bullshit and keeps games close. I think that if fans saw a guy who was trying to win, and to an extent, do what Belichick does in NE, or Peyton does in NO, or Garrett does in Dallas, they would not get on the guy calling plays. However, Schotty keeps games close. Plays for fg's, and always keeps the other team a play or two from the lead, or a 2 score lead.
As always, Jets will win this year with their defense. But I'm expecting more out of the offense than last season, though I'll be honest I wish we still had Braylon as well as holmes, but I can live with what we have.
That was more of a product of losing Boss and Smith. Nicks and Manningham are the only two "proven" guys on that roster.
They're out of sync... but this is what pre.season games are for... getting on the same page in a real live situation.
I'm perfectly happy to discuss this game on its own merits: the Jets have sucked, but it doesn't matter at all. I don't know why you think that you can't correct timing and chemistry issues in practice, but I think you're way more likely to solve those problems there than you are when you're on the field using 30% of your playbook.
It's a good thing you're not on our coaching staff. I guarantee they're going to be upset going over the film. You'd just make the Yao Ming 'fuck it' face and toss the film in the garbage. It's not complaining to point out problems you'd like to see fixed.
That wasn't even a play where you're trying to throw to the guy in stride. He could have just waited for his receiver to turn around. Completely missed where his route was supposed to end.
