Vinny's numbers actually gave him 13.4 yards per completion, which isn't too shabby in a league that had changed completely. I never saw that 2000 game. I was forced to listen on the radio and it was torture. We were well on top early on.
I remember Bill Romanowski saying something similar during the same season. That year it seemed every week we got behind and had to pass like crazy to have a chance. Sometimes it came off, sometimes it didn't. I thought Romanowski was an idiot for spouting off after a game the Broncos had actually won. But then... he was an idiot.
