The team does have more depth but it has a glaring hole in the secondary and did not address the OL or receiver issues. One would have to have been very optimistic to predict the Jets having more than 1-2 wins in the first 7 games . But if we had simply addressed the secondary we would likely have won at least 3-4 of our first seven games. There is a point where losing game after game (even losing closely) has the effect of snow balling and making a team much worse just as winning against bad teams makes a team gain confidence and get better. Fill our secondary holes where our defense could have competed against other teams and we could have been a good team this year. Just as protecting the QB, giving Smith a deep threat and a better defense likely would have helped him him in his development rather than regressing, developing happy feet in the pocket, losing all confidence and mentally crumbling. The team is not bad overall, problem is the the snowball effect has already happened and next year the team will be torn apart and we will have to start again.
Well if the Jets are going to have a turnover free game this is the game to do it in....the chiefs are tied for 23rd in total interceptions by the defense and the only team worse at generating turnovers than the Chiefs.....The Jets.....
This looks like a goddamn scrimmage Aren't these guys supposed to be running through walls for Rex? How do you manage that when you can't even run through the damn guy lining up on the opposite side.
