Petty is so Baylor, it's like he just decides to go to the check down before even looking at the down field options.
That is a not a personal feat for Bowles himself. There are too many variables to credit the improvement to Bowles. Sure this team hasn’t given up the big plays. But, we blew several (4 or 5) 4th quarter leads and we have one road win all season (against the worst team in the NFL). Bowles has absolutely nothing redeeming about himself as a HC. He is incompetent and a cardboard cut out would do a better job. Bowles still doesn’t understand how to call time outs, Bowles still doesn’t know how to challenge plays, Bowles still doesn’t know how to make aggressive play calls, Bowles still doesn’t know how to gameplan on a weekly basis, Bowles still doesn’t know how to make half time adjustments, Bowles still doesn’t know how to make in-game adjustments to seal the game, Bowles still doesn’t know how to vie for his team and chew out the refs, and Bowles still doesn’t know how to not roll over and die. Bowles is a fucking moron. After 50 career games he looks like a middle school coach.
At this point, just F'it. Let Petty go full-on Rex Grossman. Heave it every chance. Maybe there's a completion. Maybe there's a PI call. Maybe there's a pick six. Any of those plays would be more exciting than this dreck.
