You guys have to be kidding me if your ready to write off Clemens already. He's got two wr's who can't even run. They have absolutely no running game since the offensive line stinks. He's throwing to players like Wallace Wright. He's playing this game in a driving rain. Has he played well? No. The point is that even the best qb's struggle for their first 20 to 30 starts. To adjust to the NFL game with a crap line and injured receivers is asking a lot from any qb. No chance we draft a qb, the current regime is in bed with Clemens. They will sink or swim with him. the issues he needs to improve are 1) Accuracy, not horrible but at times he's throwing the ball high or low. Doesn't seem to be every play but at times he struggles. 2) Locking into receivers. On many occasions he drops back and stares down his receiver. Again this is fixable. 3) When he first started for the Jets he was throwing off his front foot. As the offensive line continued to get him killed, he started hesitating and looking at the blitz. He then started throwing off his back foot like Eli because he was getting crushed. This is causing his accuracy issues. Again he has no line, no running game, injured receivers and he's given the Jets a chance to win every game except the Cowboys. Give the kid a break for crying out loud.
Again, that's a play that a healthy LC makes.... Most other healthy WRs could not make that play, but LC usually does EDIT D'Brickasahw and Moore have been doing really well with the draw plays these last two drives...
this is where the kids at his best.... But if we win it puts the Patriots ahead of us in the draft and we probably lose our chance at McFadden.... I'm torn
I think this might set a record for the longest post in a game thread. Guessing it was meant to be in the "my dad says Clemens stinks" thread.
