It's very hard to evaluate a young QB in a situation like this.... Clemens hasn't shown me anything that says he should be the QB of the future... But then again, he really hasn't had the opportunity to.... Though I wouldn't protest to drafting a first-day QB, it's hardly imperative at this point
The peril of drafting a first round Quarterback is the money you owe him and the time you owe him to justify the pick. Clemens since he wasn't a first rounder won't get four-five years but he should get more time. The interesting scenario will be if somehow McFadden is there when we select..
Can the jets afford to pass up a guy like Matt Ryan or Brian Brohm? I haven't seen anything from clemens to make me think so...
I am not really sure what you people see in Clemens. Yes, his arm is stronger than Pennington's, but most QBs out there have stronger arms than Pennington. Clemens' pocket awareness and decision making are questionable at best. Here's another proof.. once again he held onto the ball for too long, hit, fumbled, luckily we recovered.
I hope Coles stays on the bench for his health, we are going to need him later and not on this pointless drive
why aren't we going for it? we can't rush the QB or force a turnover we're 3-9 what do you have to lose?
