What does it matter. You call the play, the guys open and he drops it. The guy is paid to catch it and is expected to catch it. Salas all year has been labeled as a "sure handed reciever", I haven't seen it but that's his "thing". This team just always finds a way to fuck it up
Salas was doing good minus the Raider drop, no case can be made for the guy when you drop a must catch ball like that.
typical Jets and Geno. Geno doesn't look terrible, but the run game isn't working and people are dropping passes. Special teams nowhere to be found also
Salas just isn't an NFL player. Neither is Nelson, Powell, Graham, Adams and Walls. We can't catch passes and can't defend them, and thats because we have so many non-NFL players on our roster at WR and CB.
We 10 points down at half. We still have somewhat of a shot if rex lays off the blitz. He needs to be smart, Rotate that defensive line and drop 7-8 into coverage.
Because we have only a few clear playmakers at the receiver position on this team. Decker, Amaro, maybe Cumberland. Everyone else is a JAG. The play should be centered around the guys you know will make the play. The guys you're paying to be The Guy. Like our #1 WR.
There is no way we can stop them. The problem is that the coverage sucks whether its its three or four DB's or 6 or 7. It has nothing to do with Rex. Non-NFL players are tasked with covering skilled NFL receivers. Its just not going to go in our favor whatever way we try to play it.
Problem is they take away those guys who become playmakers. That's a routine play an NFL WR needs to make, why carry Salas on the team if you don't intend to pass him the ball?
Jets are always entertaining. That Salas drop might be the first time I've seen an NFL receiver drop a pass wide open between his legs.
They must. This is at least the third or fourth time his year out of six games. Unbelievable. I think GB, Detroit, SD, and Denver. Just pitiful performances.
I think Denver may cover those guys a little better... We threw to Decker the play before, he didn't make the catch either. It's just a bad product all around.
