Yea definitely I agree with you. That will be the key to the game. Making sure Grossman feels uncomfortable and making him commit some mistakes. I wasnt sure why the giants were unable to do that. Im guessing it was because of injury. As long as we pressure Grossman I think it will keep us close.

I was very impressed by the Bears last night. Their offense is a little spotty but they are very tough on defense and actually they do make plays on offense. Much better than I thought. This will be a very tough game -- they are not 8-1 for nothing.

We'll need to keep the Bears D off balance and not be too predictable on offense. I think Chad strikes fear into opposing D's because of his ability to read the defensive schemes and make smart plays. After all we know he won't hurt you with his arm but he can out smart D'd and make them look stupid

On Defense gang green must rattle Grossman just like they did Brady, because Rex will diffidently through some shitty passes just ripe for pickin!!

I really don't see them beating on us like the Jags, as long as we protect the ball and dictate the pace of the game we should win

are you serious? you think the bears are worried about pennington? obviously anything can happen i'm just hoping that pennington manages to not get one of the wr's killed by briggs/urlacher on those stupid 2 yard passes.

Actually they sure as hell should be. This team has been a tad inconsistent. THey fell into a trap game allready with Miami. And we arn't no Miami. They won't overlook any of us.

The Bears are aggressive on D so we have to play to that. What I mean is we have to mix it up, keep them Urlacher/Briggs on their heels. Play calling is going to be key.

Besides according to an ESPN Radio survey Urlacher was one of the top 10 most over rated players in the NFL, and I agree. Their QB sucks! the Dolphins killed them! We will beat them, and then we'll lose to Houston and everyone will be saying how bad we suck again, see order will be restored!! HA!

Yeah, the Bears offense is a turnover machine. We're talking about the defense. Miami scored 31 points because Grossman and Co turned it over 6 times for the 2nd time in 3 games. Brown and Tiki have had success running against the Bears D but here are what QB's have done against the Bears D:

    Week 1 Farve 15-29 170 0td 2int
    Week 2 Kitna 23-30 230 0td 0int
    Week 3 Johnson 21-31 194 0td 0int
    Week 4 Hasselbeck 16-35 196 0td 2int
    Week 5 Losman 14-27 115 1td 3int
    Week 6 Leinart 24-42 232 2td 0int
    Week 8 Smith 16-26 146 1td 1int
    Week 9 Harrington 16-32 137 3td 2int
    Week 10 Manning 14-32 121 0td 2int

The Bears, IMO are overrated. The Giants had a lot of players injured and easily could have run away with the game were it not for a couple of plays. That said, here's what I think needs to be the game plan:

    1. Stop the run. This has been the key to the defense's resurgence. Lots of run-blitzing to fill up the lanes and different looks to confuse the offense. It's a very high-risk/high-reward thing (witness the 50-yard run by Dillon), but if it works, it makes for a lot of 3-and-outs and turnovers.

    2. Rattle Grossman early. That means lots and lots and lots of blitzing. It's worked ever since the second half of the Browns game, and though we did give up the TD in 35 seconds, there are high rewards, as well. Grossman is very turnover-prone, but only after he gets hit a few times. Creative fronts like we used in the NE game need to be utilized to confuse him a little bit.

    3. Set up the run with the pass. Ever since Leon Washington got 100 yds vs. the Jags, we've been employing the draw/sweep/let-the-runner-pick-his-holes, type of run offense. It's a lot more suited to our personnel than the smash them down the middle that we tried to do the first few weeks. Unfortunately, the Bears are excellent at defending the short throws, so we'll have to set it up a little bit with roll-outs and maybe a long pass attempt early. Having the short-passing game really opens the door for those 8-yard draw plays against the nickel defense in a single-back set.

I really like this team. They showed a lot on defense this week, especially the d-line. I'm thinking upset, by a large margin if we get a couple of turnovers early, by a small one if we have to play catchup.
