The Jets hardly ever wore white at Shea. In fact I don’t think they wore white once at Shea in 1968. There were a few games here and there they did wear white notably vs KC in 1971, the Rams in 1974, the Steelers in 1975 and Seattle in 1978…..there is a website called The Gridiron Uniform Database that keeps track of all of that stuff -believe it or not - for every team and every year it’s an interesting website. Even lists the announcers for every game. Joe Walton had the Jets wear white at home (Meadowlands) from 1985-1989 because he was superstitious and supposedly their record was better with white jerseys. But from Bruce Coslet on the white jerseys at home were only worn in the early season games and for special occasions….
Robby Anderson's, I mean Chosen Anderson's ears are upside down. Wait, he changed his name yet again. It's Robby Chosen. Robbie Chosen, Chosen Newton, I'm so confused.
Ah, the good old days!! We had a QB, OL, WR, DL and a decent HC. Seems so long ago... 884yds between OBrien and Marino!!
Well, then it’s settled. You’ll get the 80s uniforms. I’m with you though, the parcells ushered throwbacks would be my first choice . But I’ll take the legacy over these gase loser uniforms
Lots of fans had left by the end of this one, yet somehow the ovation for the tying XP is still the loudest thing I've ever heard in person. 19:23. Still gives me chills.
Actually, JB Smoove was pawned off on the Jets when they tried to get Larry David. So I think JB will pawn someone else, I'm thinking somebody that he worked with from World's Dumbest like Tonya Harding or the drug addict Baldwin.
The black uniforms should be relegated to the dustbin of history. It was worth a try, I guess, but they looked abysmal and, as you said, they looked nothing like the Jets when wearing them. If you're going to do a black uniform, they need to figure out a way to incorporate more green into the look. The black uniforms of the Gase era made us look not all that different from the Eagles or Ravens.
