Some Pats fans are pretty dumb, considering a) most of them are completely overrating Cromartie like he's as good as Revis and b) They all think the Pats need to answer with Marshall or TO, like Moss and Welker isn't a good enough receiving corps, while they have no RB and BB couldn't even trust their defense to hold down the Colts for one drive, instead deciding to go for it on 4th down in his own territory.
Assuming Cromartie is not damaged goods it's kind of hard not to like the deal. He'll be 26 on opening day, he was a 1st round pick originally, he's performed at a very high level in at least 1 season and mostly well in the other ones. Perhaps most importantly he's a free asset for next season, since we don't give up anything until after the season for him, and if you think the Jets have a narrow window that makes him a great pickup. In the pressure defense the Jets play he could very easily become quite a strong player over the next season or two.
Now this part is fuckin amazing any time we can get Pats fan nervous. I cant complain about that no matter who we bring in :metal:
HA! Nice! NFL Network just reported that the conditional pick was performance based. No mention of playing time.
I have my doubts based on the the last time we saw him in the most important game of the year he chose to watch our RB run right passed him, but I hope you are right. Hope is a great strategy right? It's working for the President.
Yeah I was reading that too over on their board. They actually seem to think this is a good trade for the Jets.
