I don't like mortgaging the future...yet again. I really was hoping the Jets picked up another young CB in the draft. The assumption is AT is being released by he Pats. That might be our defense if we pick him up. Then draft down and build depth. All we need is a slot WR.
okay, now that he wears green and white, he better grow a pair, or else the secondary will have two pussies we will create threads about knocking the lack of tackling in space.
The way he has been runnin up the board ever since the senior bowl.. no way he was going to be there at 29 anyway..
it's not a 2nd round pick it is a 3rd round pick. it is only a 2nd if he performs. are yo usaying you'd rather not have a player who performs and raises the pick to a 2nd which in turn means probably makes the team better? if so, that's just f'ing dumb. I hope he ends up costing us a second, that means he probably played pretty damn well and so did the team.
The nice thing about this is that Crom is only 25 and the 1st and 2nd rounders can be used to bolster the front 7 on Defense and keep this defense at #1. now combine that with Sanchez continuing his progression from the playoffs. OMFG this team better be good. An immediate impact from a DL and a OLB in the top 2 rounds can put the D from very good to legendary. Hey OL, give me one more year of injury-less domination and you'll give us the best chance for a ring. BRING BACK DONALD STRICKLAND!!
definitely all for this deal. this is a huge upgrade over lito sheppard. lets hope he can get his act together and stay out of trouble.
I don't see that one happening. We still need a lot of help on defense and the OLine. There is going to have to be a huge gap in talent at 29.
1 year left on his contract...if he pans out we are going to have a lot of deals to do in the next 18 months.
Absolutely perfect guy to put across from Revis. He's tall, super athletic, and has great ball skills. Throwing the ball over or around Cromartie might be a better gamble than going after Revis, but he'll come down with a whole lot of turnovers. Any Jet fan who isn't psyched about this needs to go back and watch tape of Cromartie intercepting Peyton Manning three times in one game. Here it is: http://www.faniq.com/video.php?video_id=3813&vs=sport_recent&sport_id= Also like how we gave up a draft pick next year instead of this year, because this year, with the final four business, our picks have extra value.
You are guys are too funny. Was I dreaming or were we all making fun of how much of a puss Cromartie was about 2 months ago? Laughing at the Chargers fans. I hate this. I hate it. This guy hasn't performed in two years and is all about himself. He has no grit to him, he gambles too much, and he won't tackle. Tanny just can't help himself. I guess we have to pay this punk a sh*t load too huh?
Some gut feeling tells me that OL help doesn't come until late in the draft.... again. I'd hate it, but I can see the top 2 picks being defense to put the D over the top in to rape mode. I'd like to see a G/T taken in the late 2nd.
