I didn't know they were reducing the parking for the upstairs fans, sweet. So I don't get a price increase and actually save money? What a country!
That's right. A long time ago, it was May 15th, then May 1st, and now April 1st. Can't complain since they are only asking for 50% if they don't settle. Hey, you bet they have no leverage upstairs, people are ready to bail due to the height, hassle, bathrooms, wind and parking. They are addressing all the complaints before they dare increase prices. Does not matter to us UD'ers, we can bail any year we want. PSL owners are Woody's bitches
To that point, I didn't get my money in until June or July last year. I had the deposit in but wasn't fully paid, the girl said just send it when you can but before the tickets go out. As I kept hearing commercials for tickets on sale I kind of ignored the deadlines and sent the money when I could.
I went off about this in the New Stadium Jets Experience thread. Didn't notice the discussion taking place here. Is it improper etiquette to post in two places? I won't for fear that t would be.
I'm afraid you are only allotted 1 'Go Off' post per week for every 1000 posts you have accrued, sorry friend. But you may begin composing one for next week in a text file to save some time.
How so? Although it's a start, decreasing the price of the shitty Orange Parking Passes is but a tip of the iceberg. There are many grievances that will never be addressed because the only way to address them is to build a new stadium.
Great! One of these times they'll get it right. 17A - start a New New Stadium thread. I am surprised they are lowering the orange lot price for 2011 (other than lot B which is no longer orange) rather than just eliminating the yellow/orange designation. I'd bet in 2012 it's gone altogether. They are easing-out the plan that made no sense in the first place other than as a PSL sales gimmick, and trying to spin it the right way. Phase it out over two years so no one will notice. Yup, that's our ownership! They must huddle up and giggle over all the cockamamie ploys they can come up with.
After looking at the prices, only the Non-Club and upperdeck didnt get charged the $5, All of the LLEZ, goalline and mezz was charged $5 more. Very fully cause they are sold out in those areas
coaches club was not increased because their was a price freeze written into the contracts for those 700 dollar tickets. GHC and most of the clubs went up more than 5 bucks. All other PSL seats went up 5 bucks. Upper Deck stayed the same
My biggest complaint by far is the bathrooms and they said it will increase by 40% and they are going to cover the outside in the end zones to protect from rain and wind. And hey, I park in the Izod for the last 10 years so saving $100 per year is great. I will take any savings.
Sharpen your aim. The way they'll increase 40% is to make each urinal thinner, or propose a buddy system.
Okay, thank God for Google: http://www.northjersey.com/sports/pro_sports/football/116715114_Jets_to_raise_ticket_prices.html Jets announce ticket price hike Wednesday, February 23, 2011 BY JOHN BRENNAN The Record STAFF WRITER The Jets announced Tuesday that 2011 ticket prices will rise an average of 2.3 percent, but that ticket prices in the upper bowl will not change. Jets vice president Matt Higgins said because of the uncertain labor situation — National Football League owners may lock out the players as soon as next week because of disputes about the players' share of total revenues — only half of the season ticket payments will be due by April 1, instead of the usual 100 percent. The other half will be due when the start of training camp is announced. Fans would pay only a prorated cost of tickets if any games are canceled as a result of a lockout. The one-time cost of the PSLs last year, however, is not affected by any reduction — or even cancellation — of the 2011 season, Higgins said. Fans who sit in seats that required personal seat licenses to be paid last year — all but the upper bowl — will see their per-game prices rise by $5 per seat. Some Jets fans would pay less for parking this fall — the price for upper-level season-ticket holders to park in the orange outer lots at Izod Center and near Paterson Plank Road will be reduced to $15 from $25. Upper-level season-ticket holders will have the option to upgrade to the yellow lots and pay $25 per game. Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon said the Giants had not finalized their plans regarding tickets and parking. The upper-bowl ticket prices will remain the same, Higgins said, in part because of fan feedback that indicated improvements needed to be made. Those include a 40-percent increase in capacity for men's restrooms at that level, plus added shelter for the upper-bowl concourses. Higgins said in response to fan concerns, owner Woody Johnson visited the upper deck for a late-season game. "There was a sense that the concourses in the end zone needed to provide more shelter from rain, so we'll be making some capital improvements there," Higgins said. "The lines at the men's room were disproportionately long, so we'll be adding a lot more capacity there. After one year of stadium operation under your belt, you look for ways to improve." Pissed at all the long time season tix holders in the UD, huh? Hahaha. We told you there would be price increases for PSL holders. Next time you're paying to attend one of your buddy Tailgate Joe's Tailgates, remember that you are pissed at us loyal UD fans for not getting our prices raised. What a bitch statement to make.
