They had to do this to make room for Adrian Clarke.

your speaking sarcastically like i didnt make a valid point when I said continuity is key in a O-Line.

and your comparing Brandon Moore to Adrian Clarke.

^^^^ I think when anyone on this board speaks of Adrian Clarke in a positive way, it has to be taken as sarcasm.

i can't believe it if this move happens:
    1. best run blocker last year
    2. it takes time for the OL to gel
    3. no immediate replacement in the draft , FA as good as moore for less money
    4. this is a backwards move

Could very well be true. Nevertheless, I think it is pretty clear that we intend on being a factor in the FA market again this year, but I defintitely think it will be more on the defensive side fo the ball.

We obviously need a linebacker who could come from the Ravens. It would also be interesting if we made a serious run at Haynesworth.

apparently it's coming soon, so the speculation or 'shit ' is relevant. should we stop talking about ray lewis/bart scott/jim leonhard then?

No, but people should stop posting fake news saying that he has, in fact, been cut...because HE HASN'T. That would be the shit to which I am referring.

I was not saying there was one. They may be trying to bring Moore back under a different deal.

I have no problem with the way Moore played last year.

Anybody else find it amusing that a few years ago most of these posters were speaking of Adrian Clarke like they're speaking of Brandon Moore today, and today they're speaking of Adrian Clarke like they spoke of Brandon Moore a couple of years ago?! :) That's what I really find confusing! :p

Here's what Hutch has to say:

These latest moves by the Jets to gain cap space makes their decision to release RG Brandon Moore, which will come in the next couple of days, even more perplexing because it appears they could have easily found a way to satisfy the veteran.

Moore, who was due a $7 million roster bonus next month, was said to be open to reworking his deal. Instead, the Jets wanted to cut his salary even though he's coming off the best season of his career.

Moore, 28, has started 73 consecutive regular season games. He's the Jets' best run blocker and is entering the prime of his career. Watch the film and most of the Jets' biggest runs were to the right side behind he and tackle Damien Woody.

Don't fret for Moore, however, because he'll be one of the most sought after guards in free agency and will become a rich man. But the raw truth is the Jets invested all that time into developing Moore, a former defensive tackle, and then let him go when he's at his best.

Anyway, contrary to my previous reports, the Jets do have a replacement in mind. Don't be surprised if the Jets move Woody, a former center and guard, to right guard and plug in either Robert Turner or Wayne Hunter at right tackle.

Even so, the chemistry the Jets offensive line developed last season will suffer.

He's either getting cut or restructured. No one trades for players when they have large roster bonuses coming up.
