I think it's more of an addition by subtraction here with Coles.

With Rex obviously a "we" guy, "me" guy Coles doesn't fit the mold of this squad we're in the process of building. Getting rid of him, even for a 4th rounder, would benifit us 2 fold. His $ comes off the cap, thus allowing us to sign his replacement, and we rid ourselves of a beneign tumor on it's way to becoming malignant.
I am so done with this guy wanting to talk about his contract ever year. I would trade him for a bag of chips.

Although I have an authentic white LC jersey and would hate for it to be obsolete, I think if we can send him to Miami and get something in return we should do it.

Absolutely agree LC is more of distraction than he is value to this team. Mangini was a mommy type coach Ryan is not gonna breast feed LC and pacify him. Its either Ryans way or the highway. Offer him to Miami and cut our ties with him. If hes traded does that free up his contract $$$$$.

I really doubt Parcells would have any interest in paying Coles 7 mill.

it wont happen they are currently trying to re-sign starting Safety Yeremiah Bell (i believe he led the team in tackles) and CB Goodman (not sure bout his first name)

but i know those are their biggest goals to kick off the year.

i doubt parcells tells them to take coles and a 7 million cap hit. but if we restructure him to a trade friendly contract and hes going to a place he likes, Miami does make the most sense.

Selected by teammates as a 2007 offensive captain.

Selected by teammates as 2006 Jets MVP.

Wow...we must hold on to him until his corpse has broken down to dust.

Ranks 67th in NFL history with 561 receptions and 96th with 7,245 receiving yards. HOLY SHIT!!!! I know when I'm like 90, I'm going to look back and say to my grand kids..."yep that LC was the shit....he ranked 67th and 96th. I was mad when Rex Ryan asked him to shut the fuck up and start playing like someone who earned the right to not shut the fuck up"

Maybe Jet fans have really small goals.
