This has been the IB strategy for well over a decade now. Say something obvious, make an educated guess, fail repeatedly... but also succeed once every 10 guesses and run with it like you knew all along.
Some, sure. But when was the last time Bob reported something that wasn't already blatantly obvious? I can't even believe we are still talking about this guy in this thread, let alone in 2023.
I mean he’s been validated by Adam Schefter before as having real sources. The biggest story I can remember him breaking first was Peyton to the Broncos. I don’t use Twitter or any social media though so I can’t speak to his recent track record. Anyways, it doesn’t matter.
I'm sure we have discussed an offer with him and his agent. We want everything in place with the QBs so we know what we are picking. What's the point in choosing Carr then finding out he wants 5mill more a year, or that the Packers want a higher pick than we thought. Have two compensation packages agreed/outlined and sign the preferred package. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
If it was a good meeting then try to get Carr to the Jets and stay away from Rodgers. He’s turned into a weirdo and seems to love the attention. It also seems that Rodgers likes to play head games with the media. He says cryptic things sometimes to the media and during interviews as if we’re to guess or speculate what he’s thinking. It’s almost like a serial killer trait, leaving messages for us to decipher. Ok maybe that’s an exaggeration but you know what I’m saying. Just stay away.
Here's vid of his brother saying, they had a good meeting, & Derek hit it off with Saleh... for whatever that's worth... & it'll be a long process. He also mentions just the Jets & Saints as comparisons. I suspect between DC & AR, we'll probably know something more concrete in a few days. One thing I love about JD, nothing gets leaked by the Jets, so everything is speculation, & when AR emerges, if he's interested in the Jets, he'll have to make it plain quickly, in fear of DC getting the nod. .
Paying an avg QB elite money, and then locking the team to that contract long term via guarantees, is a recipe for failure in this league. It’s the type of move that ends in another 5 yr “rebuild”.
