lies and Bart Scott was a beast for us, his aggressiveness should have oozed onto others but didn't. anyway how can you make this statement after looking at this picture
Not like Ray Lewis was tearing things up either ... He's been on a full on decline for a while now ... great leader though. I'm glad we got Bart when we did, he gave us an identity on defense
Everybody loved him when the "Cant Wait" comments happened before the AFC championship game, but in typical Jet Fan fashion everyone threw him out the airplane without a parachute
Im so glad i never have to see another Ray Lewis segment on ESPN,thank god "Rays Last Ride" ran out of gas,If i had to hear one more Ray Lewis story or montage i seriously woulda poked my fuckin eyes out. I agree with the identiy thing about Bart, he def brings that to the table. He isn't def gone either it will end up being like a Bryan Thomas thing where we resign him later on
Bart Scott, at LEAST, should be brought back as a vet minimum special team/34 base fill in. As Demario Davis fills in, Bart will fill out. If u don't see his value there, what're u watching? B Scott will engage anywhere in the front seven. Bart is a true locker room leader, the leader of our "Circus". Bart Scott is part of the family, that will deliver. Everyone hates the family Harris/Davis with B Scott at reserve.
I felt bad for Ed Reed man, one of the greatest safeties ever to play the game, and I felt he got no love at all
HELL NO should Bart Scott be brought back in any capacity. The dude is done. He's a locker room cancer and isn't a leader. He's a loud mouthed punk.
Scott was a great pickup for us, however it is his time to go. I don't believe he will be back. Pace, Smith, Tebow, and E. Smith should also be gone. Jets should explore dealing Harris, although with his salary, not sure that is going to happen.
Scott was a necessary pickup, but when you take his contract into account, it was an excessive one. He helped establish a culture on defense, which Rex needed. Same with Leonhard. But both were past their primes and the Jets overpaid them. I don't agree with the Harris idea. He is playing himself into a correct tax bracket. The Jets can keep him for less in the future, now that Trader Mike is gone.
Don't agree. Bart did what was he supposed to do for the Jets. That ride wasn't meant to last forever.
Agreed. He put up 2 great seasons and 2 mediocre ones. Let's not act like Scott played similar to Gholston in his tenure here.
Bart brought us toughness. He gave us some good seasons and some mediocre seasons. But, we do not owe him anything. JETS should part ways, and I don't see why its such a problem for people if they do. This is business.
Bart Scott was this era's Brian Cox imho. We eventually cut ties with both and survived. Both changed the attitude of our defense at the time and both should be given respect.
