Vegas posted it's odds for the Super Bowl next year. Lions, Texans and of course, our Jets, are tied for the worst odds. I shouldn't even get worked up at this point, but man, it continues to be rough to be a Jets fan.
The Lions just watched their legit franchise QB win a Lombardi as soon as he escaped their clutches. There are days when we are "tied" with the Lions, but today is not one of them.
And this surprised anyone? When it comes to the Jets they only odds that are relevant, is if they're getting the number 1 pick
Welp, with all of the up close and personal knowledge we have - it looks like we’re all about to be rich boys.
I watched the game with a bunch of JAGS fans last night..... we all shared a collective level of "suck" They were all cheering Ramsey getting burned though
Without having tracked the odds since they came out, I'm guessing, for exposure reasons, the odds are intentionally lower for teams with major fan bases like the Giants, Bears (who also probably belong in the same category) and Steelers.
I was annoyed by those Vegas odds last night too, but it is what it is. The Jets have to start winning to gain some respect. We know the Jets are on the right track, but the average person just looks at a team that went from (2-14) to (4-13). Not exactly Super Bowl caliber at the moment.
Actually I'm trying to figure out how the Jets avoided being in their own tier of suckitude. The Lions at least have an NFL QB, albeit not a very good one.
You love working those shots in, lol! We should trade a first and a second round pick for Baker the Playmaker. Super Bowl here we come!!!
So if we put 10 gran on the Jets to win the Super Bowl and actually hit it what would the payout be? Millions?
I'm still coming to grips with the fact that we're 11 years out of the playoffs and going into next year we're not expected to even sniff them.
It's reflective of the divisions they play in as much as anything I suspect. AFCE is pretty strong. NFCE less so.
We're going to wind up with one of those 15 years of lousy football moments and it's right around the corner. One of the things that is really strange to me as I get older is how fast time passes at this age. I used to kind of mark the years passing by noting that another Kentucky Derby had gone by and similar rituals of passage. These days I don't even notice the derby, it flicks by in a moment and I suddenly realize that a great horse died in unusual circumstances and that brings things back into focus.
why is that a surprise? As Mo says it is a reflective of how tough the division is. Too many hurdles and teams to leap over. First to got the AFC East and Bills stand head and shoulders above the rest and NE and MIami are at least competitive. Jets can’t even beat even win a game vs East team and hopefully that will change next season. Can they be better than ,500 vs East next year? Then you got KC, Cincy, Titans who remain strong next year. Then the teams you have a chance to be on top, SD, Baltimore, and Raiders. Will Rodgers go to an AFC team? Then Browns who have a great basis foundation but can get a QB to change quickly. plus we have to have a finally good draft which is a big if .
Yes you would crack 1 mill Jets to win the Super Bowl is +15000. $10,000 at +15000 odds = $1,510,000. I would advise against making that bet though haha
