Thats why its' so important for Jets to acquire more picks for draft day. They need alot more good players. Jets' really need to trade down on draft day & acquire more picks. Don't drop down to far, but stay in top 10 & get another 1st or 2nd round pick in draft.
What do you guys think about Broderick Buckley? Even though he is just 6-2,306 pounds, he is very strong( 44 reps at the combine), so he could close the middle. He could be a later round steal.
He won't be. His is gonna get taken too high but the draft if fairly deep at LB, so I am sure we could get a good guy later on. Leon Williams is a guy that comes to mind, also John Alston from Stanford, and maybe if we get lucky, Thomas Howard. I don't know if we got rid of Mark Brown or not but I liked watching him fill in for Barton and I think he could start in the 3-4
he wont be available in the late in the 1st round, in fact he might be the first DT taken if not Ngata. Bunkley wont make it past 20 i say 15 though I'm a huge FSU fan..........hes basically the defensive lineman version of D'Brick. Except hes alot stronger. He's completely I mean completely chiseled at 306. He never stops and can disrupt an O-line by himself a whole game. Not to mention hes very fast.
I feel Mark Brown will shine in 3-4 this year also. Jets' strength is there LB's. A 3-4 defense emphasis's the LB"s. Jets' will be improved this season.
I liked what I saw from Buckley at the combine.Of course I am not a professional scout, but he was impressing. BTW: I thought the Jets cut Mark Brown
I don't think the coaching staff agrees with you. Mark Brown wasn't offered a contract and is an UFA. They may low ball him later, if nobody takes a shot at him. Unfortunate, I thought he did a pretty decent job last year. Not great, not bad, but sure liked to put a pounding on people.... Jets | M. Brown an unrestricted free agent Sat, 11 Mar 2006 09:09:21 -0800 The New York Jets did not tender an offer to LB Mark Brown and he is now an unrestricted free agent.
Mark Brown is a solid player & is still just learning the pro game. I didn't know he was a free-agent ?
I think taht the Jets will use a bit of both this year. Ease the transition into it for the future. Mostly use the 3-4 and the 4-3, and occasionaly use the 5-2
