I agree that Halaby is the most intriguing GM option we’ve interviewed. Other guys don’t seem to have the same upside. I always prefer to take a shot at someone who can be great vs a retread
I get that but effective analysis isn't something one guy with a harvard brain brings. The Jets would need a team of developers and analysts to gain an edge in this league and there's no way Woody Johnson is going to commit to that IMO
Going to Harvard in and of itself means nothing. Idzik went to Dartmouth. Brick Johnson goes to Harvard, and let's just say that trust fund baby lines don't get smarter over time. But Halaby I think is the real deal.
It’s amazing watching how the Rams just keep finding these good mid round defensive players and low investment offensive lineman. Surprised we’re not trying to find someone directly from that organization. That’s kind of why Ray Agnew appeals to me from the Lions. He cut is teeth in the personnel department of the Rams.
Here's a long read about why Luck actually retired, but the answer to the riddle doesn't just jump off the page; it's a lot more complex than his injuries or his wife. www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/35163936/andrew-luck-reveals-why-walked-away-nfl Anyway, he's doing just fine with those GEICO caveman commercials.
Who are all these people, every day another name for GM or HC are they just interviewing every single breathing out of work GM/HC atm?
