Jets signed S J.R. Reed to the active roster

    He tried out for the Giants before 2007 season. He didn't make the team but he had a nice diving one-handed INT of Clemens by the goalline. Besides that he's also the guy that bobbled that punt that lead to GB beating Philly in week 1 or 2 (forget which) of last season. He had some good of knee (I think) injury he was getting over. Maybe he's all better now. Could be a solid special teamer too.

    Clowney doesn't have to be activated--he's on the 53 and not on any type of prohibition.

    Hes played with Philly and the Rams he's a solid special teamer and not a terrible safety. decent pick up , Guess it was to replace Brad smith.
