Don’t understand this Crowder is gone talk

dude is a solid slot guy...always open and catches everything. No, he’s not a downfield over the top guy I get it, but he is as solid a slot as they come

No way I’d cut him loose...

Can't cry over spilled milk. Yes, we should have kept Robbie, but that is in the past. Nothing you can do now ... Aside from getting another guy, like Corey, who is just coming off a near 1000 yard season as a 25 year old, just turned 26. Even Anderson didn't produce this much at the same age. Looking at other WR FAs, I really don't see too many who are a lot better than him. This is a clear upgrade of a WR position over last year, while not mortgaging future and leaving CAP to shore up other positions. I will take it!

Davis is a solid addition and we didn't pay too much for him or given him too many years. If he repeats what he did last year its a good signing. He's only 26 years old so there's a good chance that he can get even better as he goes into his prime.

Curious if this means JD sees Mims as a #1 or Davis?

I certainly hope our offensive coordinator isn't more concerned with a receivers blocking ability than he is his speed or hands.

Did he text that to you or something?

Davis of course. Mims has yet to prove himself, although we hope he will eventually be a #1. But I don't think it matters since I'm sure each player will have a certain role. I also believe Davis is here to mentor Mims.

    What is a #1?
Last year Crowder was our most effective WR. Does that make him the #1?

The outside receiver who is usually asked to beat the defense's no 1 corner or double team.

I don't think your biggest receiving threat has to play the X or Split End role.
Patriots made a living out of the TE and slot guys being their most effective receivers with high % short passes.

To me, Crowder is still the top receiver, but I love having the two big bodies out wide.
Will help with the run game as well.
If we are missing anything, it's a burner that Safeties have to respect.

No, he doesn't. We just had a shit coaching staff that didn't know how to properly utilize his skillset. The guy was drafted by Belichick for a reason.

Robby wouldn't have fit in this offense though.

Physical players needed at all positions to support the run game. Robby is like the antithesis of physical.

They're also both 6 ft 3 215+ which can cause some serious problems for defenses outside the numbers.

    I believe it. He's a stud.

We legit have a potential #1 WR on this team now.

Would be kick ass to add another big WR like Juju and we can go into this draft loaded.
