So everyone can call for him to start everytime Geno or our FA vet struggles.

I beleive Bradway will be shown the door after this years draft JMO. Then we start fresh. But I am
sure they are looking for a replacement now and making some under the table deals to lock someone
up after this idiot makes the picks this year. Lord Help Us.

Simms is garbaj. We'll know we had a successful draft and offseason if he starts the 2015 season picking his ass on the practice squad again. I like Richardson a lot. I'd explore letting Chris Johnson walk in favor of him. Not like we are going anywhere next year... might as well develop guys for 2016 and beyond.

Actually kind of surprised they brought Simms back even just to fill up the future 90-man roster in camp, but doesn't bother me.

If Powell isn't resigned and CJ is cut, wouldn't be shocked if Richardson stuck as the third RB

You can't take both sides, either you want him to have a shot or you don't. I would like to see him start a few games, we had plenty of meaningless games at a catastrofic 4-12 season. I believe Rex personally didn't like the kid, actually insulted him on some radio program. Also Idzik was set on having Geno play, Rex preferred Vick. Kid never had a real chance to fail under the former regime.

I doubt that Woody Johnson has ever forced a player choice on a coach in-season. The only player choice that I can recall him forcing was when the Jets traded for Brett Favre in 2008. That wasn't in-season, that was a move to try to give Mangini a QB who wasn't likely to get hurt in 2008 and derail the season. Predictably Favre got hurt for one of the few times in his career and derailed the season at the end. Jets Luck.

How do you know he's garbage? I know Geno is garbage because he had the chance to prove that the last 2 years. And Vick suck rocks too. There was a chance to back up your claim at the end of the season, but the tandem of Rex\Idzik wouldn't do it.

Richardson is the news here, he never should have gotten cut in the first place this past preseason. He's probably better than Bilal Powell.

Maybe Rex didn't like him because he's a tool? I've never seen anything where Rex shit on him, maybe I missed that somewhere.

The entire premise that he "never had a chance to fail" is telling on its own. Wouldn't you want him to have the chance to succeed?

The only time I've said in seriousness that Simms could have started was the first Miami game this year when we ran the ball 100 times.

He didn't get the chance because the people that have seen him every day in practice the last few years think he sucks. And thats probably because he sucks.

Agreed. I like Powell but we have a replacement if he walks. I'm not saying let him go for nothing but if somehow he gets a decent offer from another club... bye.

I still can't believe we let Bret Ratliff go. Stupid Mangini and Tanny wouldn't give him a chance even while Favre was injured and throwing ducks out there.
