Careful its not wise to post anything that could even indirectly reflect on Sam's developmental struggles. Because we all know he doesn't have any. Everything is going great so far. Better than expected. All our struggles are at the other positions and coaching and the uni's, and the weather. All Jet fans know this.

No, it's not wise to post things that can be factually proven as incorrect. Intelligent convo is welcome. Bullshit isn't.

Btw take this FWIW, But LaFleur is considered one of the brighter offensive minds and maybe a candidate for a head coaching gig...especially those who want an offensive minded coach

No you're right. You have factually proven Kearse hasn't been severely under targeted so far this season. My mistake. Thank you for the intelligent convo and I stand corrected.

I love the signing. Matthews always had talent and never really got a chance to show his stuff. I expect him to be very motivated to produce and show the Titans what they missed out on.

Did I miss something? What's this post in relation to? I've gone back through the thread twice and can't find anything it's in response to.

If only the argument was "Kearse has been severely undertargeted".

Instead it was "I think most of his 9 catches were on screens" and "he has 7 catches over the other 6 games" which obviously, is dumb.

Do please enlighten us with your wisdom. I must have missed all those many opportunities with adequate separation where he plain couldn't find Kearse. May be twice? Was he able to find him the week before with 9 catches? Did it perhaps dawn on you that we couldn't run any 3 WR sets worth a shit and that made a huge difference from getting Kearse open? I wish Sam was also unable to find Peak instead of hitting him right in the hands for a shitty ass interception. Sam was far from solid Sunday, but putting most of the blame on Sam with this putrid supporting cast is absolute BS. I also remember hitting Robbie in the basket on a 40-50 yard beauty which he couldn't hold on to. I suppose you call that not finding that receiver either.
Sam is learning on the job, we started the season accepting the fact that the ups and downs will happen, but it didn't take long for some to go back to the usual "lets pile on the blame on someone for a bad performance, damned the facts" and of course Sam is the most visible target.

LaFleur is the Titans OC. Considering how awful their offense is, I don't think hes going to be in high demand.

this forum criminally underrates anderson. put him on the pats, saints, steelers, etc and he's a 100 catch 1500 yard WR

well the neck was odd and came out of nowhere. now it's a thumb and hip issue i think? yeah he's physical but he's getting banged up a lot. it seems injuries will be a theme of his career but still a hell of a steal for a 5th round pick, the only pick idzik got right out of 12

So he's better than Michael Thomas, Julian Edelman and JuJu... all guys on those teams you listed that aren't 100 catch, 1500 yard receivers?

I think before the season, fans would have preferred signing Matthews over Pryor. He has been a solid WR for the Titans the last couple years. Now throw in it is the middle of the season, and he seems to have "quit" on that terrible Titans offense, we are not sure what we are getting or if it is an upgrade over Pryor. I think he could be, but it will take a few weeks. I like his potential. There are 6 games after the Jets BYE too. So he has time to contribute in 2018.

Even better, 6th round pick! Might be an even bigger steal next year. Hopefully this month off will get him healed up.

PS- I disagree with you on Anderson. He's not a 100 catch guy on any team. Just because he's Chad Johnson's disciple, he's no where near that good of a player. He's good at running deep routes, and he has decent hands. Until that homerun potential is something that can be regularly relied upon, he is what he is. Robbie wouldn't last in the middle of the field (which is why he hardly does cross routes), he goes down very easily and doesn't break many tackles, and usually only has success when he's in space on out routes. He's got a niche, I wouldn't call him an all around WR.

Ya except I didn't write that post. Thanks for the intelligent convo.

(BTW Kearse has 7 catches over the other 5 games as he missed opening day. That's an average of 1.3 catches a game - which is hardly dumb to point out regarding our leading WR last season.)

I'm well aware that you didn't write it, but you quoted it and used it to further your bad opinion that you can't criticize Darnold around here.

As for intelligent convo, maybe you'd like to do your homework. Sure Kearse played 5 games this season. What was the snap count? Last year he played on 84% of the offensive snaps per game on average. He's only played over 80% of the offensive snaps three times this season and 55% or under twice. It's almost like he hasn't been at full strength until recently and missed a lot of practice time leading up to the season opener. But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of a good narrative on an internet message board.
