i'm never going to complain about adding a back that basically rushed for 1,300 yards two seasons ago
Seems like the perfect guy to stash until November/December. Still won't alter any plans of another RB in the draft.
It's's a good signing. Belichick benched him but still used him. We'll see how he is after the injury. As far as the Patriots are concerned he's yesterday's newspaper. But that's the kind of loyal guys they are.
Kimberley A. Martin @KMart_LI now15 seconds ago Pats beat guy > RT @jeffphowe: Ridley is one of the best people I've met in the business. He'll be missed in the locker room.
I don't think this stops the Jets from drafting a RB. But it just allows them to avoid having to take one in the first few rounds, say if they go QB in round 1 and want to go OLB/WR/OL in rounds 2/3.
It's a whatever move. I'd guess he doesn't see regular season snaps with us. Is there a maximum number of guys you can bring into camp cause it seems like we signed about 25 new players this offseason.
Its a good signing. The Jets needed a back to lighten the load and this guy is big and hope he can get his fumbling under control. What Mac & Company is doing is streamlining our choices in the draft. To me it looks like OLB in the first. WR in the 2nd and tackle/guard in the 3rd. We have great depth at DL with Leger coming back (yay I like the guy).
While this certainly doesn't mean Jets won't draft a RB the odds of taking one in first 4 rounds just dropped significantly IMO
Rex would be loving this ground and pound action. This is all that he asked for a competent secondary...check. Stout defensive line...check and a rotation of backs to keep the chains moving and keep the QB play limited.
Maybe a bit, but I still see the Jets drafting a RB in the 3rd or 4th round. Maybe now, they take a shot at a RB in the 4th round instead of the 2nd-3rd.
