excatly! dumbazz tanny waited until week 12 to try to fix a problem that was evident early in the schedule.
nope, only looking at right tackles. at this point, maybe hunter could call a better game than shotty.
Hopefully he plays right away as a blocking TE and maybe towards the end of the season takes over for Hunter. At this point throwing him in there to see what he has in the next few weeks would be smart IMO, cant get much worse than our pass protection... Maybe he turns into a good find, cant remember the last time we had one of those.
At this point you work him into one package and hope he can handle that. Its not completely plug and play like madden.
It will be nice to put him in for extra protection on the right side. Maybe he can take some of Mulligans plays. Shouldn't take too long to work him on select plays. This really makes me feel bad about Ducasse's future. How bad is this kid.
I know you cant just throw a guy in their like we did with Baxter... Because that could do more harm than good. Basically, I just want this move to actually matter- we picked up Shawn Nelson, that did nothing, we picked up Ricky Sapp, that did nothing, and we picked up that WR from the Broncos and that has done nothing... It just seems like all of these moves do absolutely nothing. You see teams like GB, the Saints and even NE either developing players no one has heard of into somebodies or picking up players that can contribute and help the team. All of our somebodies have been paid top dollar/top draft pick for.
Rex: "Wayne Hunter is our man and he's improving every day. I see Wayne improving in practiced and during games. I'm thrilled we have Wayne on the team" Next day after Hunter's release: "We're always looking to improve the team and the right side has been a weakness all season. This opportunity came up. We wish Wayne the best, just not when he's playing against us".
Hearing that would be nice... although I highly doubt we will this season. Even if he played Jumbo TE, which is the only position I feel comfortable with him, I wouldnt mind having him on the team Does anyone know how his contract is worked out, like how much is dead money if cut?
I agree to a point about Ducasse. I'm hopig this says a bit more about Mulligan's playing time than Ducasse's future though. Pratice squad moves are typically not a big deal. Pro scouting says to take a look at the guy and you try it out. If it does not pan out nothing lost really. Expecting players like Nelson, Sapp, Gilbert, or Howard to actually do much is more often than not setting yourself up for a let down. Take it for what it is, much like baseball teams trading triple A guys, not much of a move at all.

Those were 2 of the best posters. I really hope they didn't get banned for making fun of someone who deserved it.
At least we are looking at improving some issues even if only at depth. 1st right OT - Hunter is being abused 2nd Safety - Smith is average at best 3rd DE - We need some pass rush, expect to see a lot of Mabin this week
