This is such a bad signing. Maybe if Kimo was 30, but 35 freaking years old. We said bye to Kevin because he was the same age. We should have spent more money on a better younger player. This signing has desperation all over it. Everyone else is signing players, so lets sign this guy even though he is over the hill. Sorry for being negative, but does a rebuilding team need this? I would rather have signed Mike Williams for the OL, at least he is in his mid twenties (and may have been cheaper).
ok i like that were finally doin somethin in FA but what are we doin kimo is old as dirt. thomas could hold up just fine at the end in a 3-4. why aren't we doin anything for the other side of the ball. you guys cant be that excited about this pick
Now D-Rob's job is to take up double teams in that 3-4 and let the LBs shoot the gaps...it's up to the defensive coaching now to completely confuse the opposing O-Line...If D-Rob ever gets 1on1 blocking he's going to penetrate and get his tackles. Should be interesting.
Hes a transition player. We draft a guy that we groom for 3-4 DE (they dont exactly grow on trees, you know), and when hes ready, we plug him in. Signing Kimo means we can switch to the 3-4 immediately and not have to wait for the players to develop.
my friend is a Steelers fan who owns a sports bar called The SteelPit (which I named) and he says Kimo is one of those pieces to a team that is unmeasurable. I'm excited.
That just makes it offical we are going to a 3-4 defense next year! R we the jets or are we turning in to the pats.....please god no!
The Pats didn't create the 3-4 defense...they just excel in it...lots of teams are switching to it and do well. But it takes alot more teamwork.
