His best mive would have been to get as much guaranteed money he could, and maybe he did. We will see what hapoens in the draft and camp but right now he is only penciled on the roster.
Yah about 2ish months ago I had saw him in the top 10 to the Ravens. He slipped a little and was around the Jets pick. Some had him all the way down to 29 to the Cards. After the combine it was almost a top 20 lock. 4.6 is great and his weight coming into the Combine was good. I could see him at the Raiders or before. But after Irvin he could fall a little. I don't think there is any way he is at 20. I wouldn't be against trading up a few slots for him. To me he is the highest rated 3-4 OLB rusher. That's in high demand and I see him going top 15 for sure.
Curtis Martin had a 4 YPC for his career, just saying I'd settle for Robinson being the next Chris Ivory (the overlooked Saints back that comes here anda makes a name for himself), the tricky thing is we don't exactly need him atm unless Forte or Powell get hurt, and if Powell gets hurt they may turn to Archer or someone else in his role.
Well while I'm like jerseyjay, in believing in investing in the offensive line vs. runningbacks I'd say we got some great value in these signings, and more importantly; versatility. The coaching staff recognized how much our lack of health at the RB spot held this team back at points of the year. I'm so glad we didn't piss away big money into Ivory. The Powell/Robinson signings provide us with the option to use Forte a lot more situationally to help whomever the quarterback is. He's one of the best receiving backs in the league, if not THE best since LT. I believe he's just outside the top 20 in all time receiving yards for a runningback and should crack the top 20 this season (and I spot 4 guys from the 50s/60s on that list).
