Don’t really want to get to into an argument because the pic was disgusting. It really looked like he was emotional when he posted it (after what was happening) and seems like he was geniune in his apology.
Hyde is fragile. Lewis is similar to the RBs we already have. Martin is a muscle hamster high as shit off spice. Crowell is probably the cheapest and most durable. I would have liked to see us get McKinnon and then draft a RB like Chubb to fill the role Crowell will be assuming.
meh. i guess if we use him as a power back only. the browns letting him walk could mean they are looking hard at barkley 1st overall
Hyde sat 1 game last year with a hip stinger, other than that he was fine all year. Maybe it's behind him. I'd still rather have him on a 1 or 2 year deal than F'n Crowell on a 3 year!
Hate Crowell too but Martin may be washed up. Hyde is 3 years older and at best equal to Crowell. Lewis is also 3 years older. Smaller. May not be much once he leaves N.E. For us Crowell was the best of the 3 even though he's scum
If you think Hyde is "at best equal to Crowell", I either can't value yoir opion on football talent evaluation at all, or you are thinking of 2 different players.
Hyde was on the injury report practically all last year. The year before that he had an MCL injury at the end of the ‘16 season. The year before that he had the foot fracture that shut him down for the second half of the ‘15 season. I’m thinking he will get a 3-4 year deal. I don’t see a 1-2 year deal for him. Even in his most active year (2017), he only had a 20-carry game twice and he only had one 100-yard game.
Funny how people complained about no moves, then complained about the lack of moves, then complain about the guys they made moves on. Like STFU, Cousins wasn't coming here and others decided to go to one of the other 31 teams in the NFL. Trumaine Johnson, Crowell, McCown is a solid start to the off season. Hopefully Teddy comes and then you can address the OLine, LB and DL.
Carlos Hyde at this point in his career is at best equal to Crowell. Next year he'll be 28. Coming off a season where he averaged under 4.0 yards per carry. I think Crowell will have the better year.
I'll respond to each point: - 90% of the NFL is on the injury report with the way it's structured. If they play that's all that matters. - Right, and he bounced back from an MCL and showed no issues with recovery. - Same ^ with the foot injury. - Maybe he couldn't be signed to a short term deal I'd still rather Mac try. - Look at the Bryan Hoyer lead team he was on... Your argument is he wasn't putting up elite numbers on THAT team? Todd Gurley and Melvin Gordon looked like shit in 2016, are they "bad"? Or was the team/line the issue?..
You describe Hyde and Crowell as equals ("at best") and then back that statement up with referencing YPC as the evidence. . . *cough* Sorry man, I can't talk anymore.
WOW. This cancerous cop killing America hating piece of shiiiii... I’m officially done with the nfl... much less the POS JETS. My blood will boil seeing this worm kneel on the sidelines. I’m not giving my money to this team to pay him. VETO THIS MOVE
That seems to be taken out of context just a hair. My overall point is that I would rather take that chance with his level of talent than the "safe" move with Cro.
