Cro always relied on his gap closing speed after giving the WR tons of room to run loose. He had a fantastic season after Revis went down but before that he was overrated. He had a terrible time covering plays that went across the middle or the guy he was covering didn't run in a fairly straight line. I would have liked him to stay but if his hip is going to be a thing you aren't seeing Cro on the field at all anymore, like last year when he was constantly either being beat or playing grab hands with his guy. Somebody else said on the board said that almost any CB in the league would have been better than Cro last year and at 103 of 109 it look like its the truth.
I know it's the Seattle way get a bunch of jags, sift the wheat from the chafe and add talent in the draft. Thing is the seahawks were a bad team when they did it.
Reports are they gave this hump 3 mill.. So he wasn't cheap. I don't even know hat to say, he's hurt all the time and only played in 16 games once.

Good signing. Patterson seems like a guy who's a pretty good man cover guy who can make plays on the ball, he just can't seem to really stay healthy tho.

This is really the case here. Everyone's throwing out the $3M but there's no details out there (at least that I could find at the time of this posting). Certainly, if it's $3M guaranteed straight up, it's somewhat suspect. Specifically, it makes you wonder if (A) they're getting desperate and (B) is there something about Cromartie's injury that they know but we don't? OTOH, If it's 1M guaranteed with $2M in reasonable bonuses (e.g., available to play 75% of defensive snaps), it doesn't seem like it's such a bad deal. FWIW, it doesn't seem like Idzik would be the kind of guy who'd sign a contract without any backdoor protection for his team. Some of that $3M has to be protected, and we just don't know the details.

Was just watching some highlights of Patterson. Guy has crazy talent but he just needs to stay healthy. This could be a kick ass signing.
Half of Patterson's picks were in the opener against Brandon Weeden. I guess I'm a glass half-full kind of guy
