I know people are screaming for a decent receiver but seriously, who's out there that you can rely on? Owens, Chad Johnson, Burress? These guys aren't going to produce for you. There's a reason every other team in the league has passed on them.

    I know LOL

We're signing players to help defense, which clearly is not our issue. Even if we "can't stop a nose bleed", we are holding teams in points. Our offense can't s core a fuckin point!

Not to mention, the defense probably would be a hell of a lot better if they were off the field resting more.

Every other team in the league has passed on them because they have decent receivers and don't want to have to worry about their attitudes, off-field issues, etc.

We desperately NEED depth at WR. We can afford to risk having guys like that on our team. If not, we will get nowhere with the group we have if this continues. Our number one targeted receiver is out with a foot injury and Hill is injured as well.

While I'm not disagreeing with you about the need of a WR, did you happen to see our "number two" corner. He was burnt so bad yesterday, he couldn't have made a tackle of the receivers if it was a touch football game. They routinely had 3 steps on him. There's no doubt they need a wideout but it's not like they're by any means set at corner.

It sounds like they are ready to put Revis on IR if they are going to sign this guy..or maybe just cut somebody else..like Wilson..j/k.

Did any of you hear Ray Lucas yesterday say that the Jets didn't bring Burress back cause there was a lot of behind the scenes stuff last season that didn't come out?

That was my Tweet that were answering actually....Burress will be humble if he gets a shot. Nothing like unemployment and the need for a pay check to make a guy shut up and play football.

Its easier to find a serviceable corner which was definitely needed then it would be to find a receiver that can come in and help. Theres just no good receivers out there.

Wilson is not as bad as you guys are making him out to be. Jets fans are spoiled by Revis that unless you're shutting the player down you're not doing a good job.

Right now there are a few stopgap receivers available

    Dante stallworth
    Terrell Owens
    Chad Johnson
    Lagade (sp) Nanee
    Plaxico Burress

Wilson get burned three times yesterday and talked crap each time. Enough for me to think he's a bitch.

Wilson was awful yesterday. Against a mediocre passing attack. Houston will eat him alive.

He's eligible to play right away because he was not on a NFL roster to begin the season. Good signing had enough of the Kyle Wilson

If Cromartie is guarding Andre Johnson pretty much all of the game, then Houston's secondary weapons aren't as good as San Francisco's in the passing game.

However, Schaub may be a better QB to exploit it more. Some of those deep balls Manningham would get open on might have slightly better throws.

Good move for the Jets signing Berry. Low risk in terms of the contract, and he's a decent player. He's not a starter, but I think he's an NFL player. The Lions scapegoated him because they had a lot of off-field issues, and Berry wasn't a core player (and he did some stupid crap). Jets have little to lose at this point. If he doesn't work out, you can cut him.

Wilson also had no business being a first round pick, but that's a whole other story...
