I'd be okay in trying to get him...but I can understand sticking with what we have.

Supposedly he was cut because he refused a pay cut

Bengals put a franchise tag on Stacy Andrews, one of the guys I really wanted the Jets to sign in FA. Because of that, Cincinatti has a lot of $$ tied up in the line. Andrews only played 7 games last season due to injury so I think the team wanted to move on after 12 seasons. He was offered a pay cut, made a counter-offer and was refused. Now he's an FA.

The only thing that gives me some concern is his health. But before 2007, Andrews missed all of 2 games in 11 years. So I think his durability is well established.

Assuming he's OK, I can't see how some team wouldn't want him. At 33 he's still got two or three good years left. The guy was one of the dominating RT of his generation.

I have no problem with ever wanting to upgrade the team so if we can get him I agree we should do so. I also think if we can fit Johnson in he to should be considered especially with no Chapman for the 1st 4 weeks of the season
