He's definitely the best pure playmaker in the open field. I've been all over him ever since his 4TD game that kept them alive against Auburn last year. It's ashame he never got the chance to produce his own Heisman-type season. His size is equally of concern but he's more elusive IMO than Smith.
Different roles though. Jefferson ran those deep ins and crossing routes that opened up the bombs to Chase. He was almost exclusively running 9 routes last year. Year off concerns me too but he's going to light the combine up if he participates.
Not sure how we can justify using our #2 overall on a WR who quit on his team. Ya I know he got a booboo on his finger. OK. Tape it up. Get back out there. Ronni Lott literally cut OFF his pinky finger on the sidelines then went back into the game. All great WRs make fantastic one-handed catches all the time. He had a chance to prove he can beat DBs with one hand tied behind his back and he blew it!
Nah, Smith is too small and won't last a full season. I prefer they trade down with Carolina and pick another tackle with that pick. You can get good WRs later in the round. No need spending a high pick on a WR
See? Exactly! JPP wrapped that shit up and went back into the game! My Uncle did the exact same thing with an M80. He was on the lake with his new speedboat and blew his fingers off. Had to have some chick who never drove a boat b4 drive it back to the marina.
