Worst ownership in the NFL, bar none. I feel mortified for the loyal season ticket holders. His move to fire RS early season as bad as Robert was, and put Brick there, destroying the strength of the defense completely along with offense, and ruin any chance to finish the season with a hint of respectability, was the last incompetent ownership move for me. Woody might own the Jets financially, but the team great history will never be his.

I had a death in the family in 2016 and it was so chaotic that I was 2 days late - TWO DAYS LATE - paying my first quarterly installment. I NEVER allowed the Jets to have their greasy fingers in my bank acct or on my cc to bang my renewal at will.

I said, "I can provide you with a death certificate as proof. Can you please make an exception?" "No. If we make an exception for you, we have to make an exception for everyone." I was appalled, and I said, "Are you kidding me? Even with a death certificate?" "No, I'm sorry. Payment is required in full at this time or your tickets are forfeited." I said, "And you wonder why people are leaving in droves. It's not just the product on the field." I paid.

The following year, 2017, they pulled some other kind of garbage on me re: installments. I paid in full again, but it was the last straw and I had some petty revenge in store. When the invoices came due for 2018, I balked. It became a game of chicken. What actually happened was that it was a series of small insults that added up over the years to one huge pile of disrespect that figured into my final decision to walk.

Since before the first season of The New Dump, the FO was always giving me these vague, veiled threats that it was my own funeral that I was opting not to buy a PSL. Of course it didn't matter one iota. I was right all along that a PSL was not worth the paper it was written on every which way but loose. See my "We can do what we want" post, Post #14.

Immediately leading up to the draft in 2018, the entreaties began. The Jets landed Sam Darnold and it turned into used car salesmanship type begging. I was not moved. Then I got a letter that was Fed Exed (!) to my home that I had to sign for asking me to reconsider and come back. Ha, when I answered the door I thought I was being subpoenaed by a grand jury or something.

Guess what? The FO FedExed the same letter to a grand total of 30,000 season ticket holders who bailed from 2016-2018. Well, that must have cost them a couple of shekels. GOOD.

The emails. The phone soliciting. The voicemails. The last time I answered the phone on them I said, "55 years of loyalty didn't matter, but now that I left it suddenly matters? See how I laugh." ***CLICK!*** Never looked back. What a scam.

Anyway, I'm sure the waiting list wraps around 10 city blocks. Woody Johnson deserves everything he gets, but the shame of that is that he doesn't "get it" at all. The folks I feel sorry for are the Jets fans who still sit out in the rain and the cold in that roofless shithole surrounded by 60,000 opposing team fans who got great, cheap seats on stubhub.

Ha Ha. Was not entirely sure why I got offered lower-level seats when my section corner mezzanine endzone went Non-PSL. I suppose it was so we wouldn't sue them.

The seats I got were section 123 row 20 but there were no Jet Fans in that section? I requested to move over to section 129 where my tailgate buddy sat and I have been there for 5 years.

I'm thinking one more year then sell the shitty PSLs for whatever I can get and give up being a season ticket owner for the New York Jets.

    No Mas after 2026-2027 season.

Mo Mas, huh. I've been screaming, "Uncle! UNCLE!" with this team because of what's on the field for most of my life when you add it up, but the agita of having to be aggravated to my wits end with bs shenanigans of being a season ticket holder added insult to injury. I should have been able to somewhat downplay and ignore how bad the team consistently is by not actually having season ticket ownership be an albatross around my neck.

Our 20 years strong tailgate ameliorated ALL of that, but that was pre-New Dump. Post-New Dump, our tailgate dissipated into the ether and it finally occurred to me to ask myself why I was punishing myself with this shit.

I hung on for 9 years, but it reached a tipping point, obviously. I would have hung on for probably one season only just to check out how awful the world's largest hostial waiting room was all about, but I felt a sense of obligation to my deceased father: I promised him to never let go of the tickets.

It also occurred to me along the way thete was a cacest to that. After being bankrupted out of our incredibly good seats that we had for years because of seniority in The Old Dump, my Daddy would have told the FO to go scratch straight out of the gate. I didn't have transfer rights, SO WHAT THE HELL WAS MY POINT?!

That was another joke. The Jets weren't charging a PSL for the Upper Dreck to try to make Woody Johnson appear magnanimous, but guess what? No transfer rights to strongarm people. The Giants were charging a $1K PSL per seat with transfer rights in the Uppers. The Jets were charging $25K per seat PSL in a comparable section to where we sat in The Old Dump. The Giants were charging $12.5K - HALF! - because of the $1K PSL in the Uppers. Not that I would've paid $12.5K for a PSL, anyway, but all the more reason for Woody Johnson to kiss my ass.

Thanks for bringing some light in all this to the open. Most of us had no idea how simply pathetic this disgusting ownership is. Greedy pompous nobody who inherited it all and earned none of it.

    I hear you.

The tailgate was the best part of the Jets Season Ticket holder experience.

Of the original 20 plus members of our group we are now down to 2 fans and yet we still tailgate.

Last game against the Panthers the parking lot still had so many available spaces when we went into the stadium. There was no scrum at the entrance no line we walked right in and it was 1:00PM. Plenty of open seats in the stadium...pathetic.

Seeing just how the Jets would have tried to justify the price despite not winning a game would have been an added "benefit" of going 0-17.

Since the Buy/Sell Tickets forum has not had a post for 2 years, thought this might be a good spot. My son will be in town at the end of December and is looking for 3 tickets for the Jets/Pats game on Dec.28
He is looking to get them now before the Jets go on a 8 game win streak which sends the prices sky high.
Just let me know what you've got.
