Anyone know of any good games that display this kids skills? I just watched his game against Miami. I left the game underwhelmed with his ability to rush the passer. Explosive stopping the run, though. Didnt seem too athletic on the field. I liked his instincts when recognizing the pass vs run. Only looked at one game though.
We're bound to use a platoon of linebackers at every spot but MIKE, Mauldin will get his reps but he'll have to earn them from Pace, who is like teflon to this team I swear, and the ST contributor Reilly, who I also have pegged for the Strongside role. i'm thinking we'll carry 24 players on the D, 6 CB's, 4 S's, 4 OLB's, 4 ILB's, 5 D Lineman, and Coples p) Pace, IK, Reilly, Mauldin, is what I'm expecting on the outside when all is said and done. the latter two should be expected to hold down SOLB duties next year in lieu of Pace if not sooner.
I see this pick as pretty non-controversial, likely an effort to get Pace's replacement onto the team.
