I was planning on Chicago or Cleveland and both are too late in the season for me to go. With a European vacation planned in December no way I can hit up any of those. I may try to get to Denver, it's the closest we play to Vegas this year which is a good thing. I'm thinking of Miami as well but all day with me to drink in So Florida is not a good idea. BTW I like how the Houston game shapes up, they go to Jax the week before and then come to NY. Granted we're not talking LA-NY but two weeks 2 1/2 hour flights is a good thing.
2 straight home games too start the season, and we end the season at home vs. the bills, you gotta like that.
As a west coast guy, the fewer 1pm games the better. I feel for the guys that go to the home games though, this is a crazy schedule for you. I love the fact we get 3 division games out of the way before all the nagging injuries start piling up. If by some strange chance we open up 4-0, 3-0 against the division, I'll be a little less worried about weeks 15 and 16. Those weeks could be season killers.
Haha, thanks. The good thing is it gives us months to figure stuff out. I might be able to get out there but it's going to be tricky where any other week it would be a cakewalk. For the home games I think I'm in good shape except for the Halloween game, I have two little kids and will probably have to skip that one. Doing so will set me up to get out on Thanksgiving night though, and maybe even a Christmas night flight to Chicago. I like the fact that there won't be any real hot games except for New England, which happens every year anyway. I can live with one.
I think the NFL has succeeded somehow in screwing the Jets in terms of PSL sales, while they were probably trying to do the opposite. An awful lot of night games....for the working man, there's nothing better than the 1pm Sunday games..........the rest can hurt, especially Sunday and Monday nighters.
I would have prefered to switch the Ravens and Steelers games...gimme no Big Ben and Santonio could have been huge against the Ravens.
We played Miami at night last year, a few weeks later in the season and it was very hot and humid ... our D ran out of gas big time in the 4th Q of that game That said, I think we have much better personel than the Dolphins and we should handle them. What aggravates me is the fact that they gave us a playoff team to open our stadium, but they managed to find a patsy for the Giants (Carolina). There's that ... and do we need to play the Patriots in week 1 or 2 every F*$#ing season??? It seems like this is the 40th year in a row. We feel the impact of not having Holmes in those two games.
What I meant was I think the NFL is counting on Hard Knocks bringing in more casual viewers to those night games. If the show is a hit, you would likely see more folks who are not fans of the teams playing watching.
