I'm going with a modest pre-draft prediction: we will win at least 10 games.

Rice is a product of Favre. He better home the ageless monster returns.

I like the fact that the biggest focus of bitching is on Holmes not playing early. A guy we didn't even have last season. A season, of course this team went to the AFC championship game in.

It's like eating great pancakes and realizing 30 minutes later you didn't put syrup on them.

am i the only one pissed at the fact 3 of our first 4 games are against division opponents without santonio holmes? or am i just fearing the worst because we will not perform..the way i see it realistically

    Ravens L
    Patriots L
    @ Dolphiins W
    @ Bills L

1-3 start...i just feel too many people in this forum are wayy too overconfident about this team...so many big names and new additions does not always make up for the best results...just being real

I like that we get 3 divisional matchups in the first 4 weeks, Holmes or no Holmes. That first month is when Jenkins has the most energy, and he'll be able to lay it against divisional foes and an offense that we'll have to stifle in week 1 with a tough running offense.

If we'd had the Pats/Bills/Phins in weeks 5-9, Homes will not have had a ton of live snap activity to have been a huge benefit to this team, chances are. So when we do actually face our division teams, Homes and Sanchez will already have 6 games and 7 weeks to work with Sanchez getting their timing down. Those division games are the most important on the schedule for tiebreaker.

I'm torn about all of the primetime games, though. 5 night games is a pisser.

We won without Santonio Holmes last year, and we will stay that way. We will crush Buffalo and Miami. We will be at worst 2-2 after 4 games, and I can see us realistically 3-1.

    UNBELIEVABLE!
Wish Holmes was with us for the first 3. Buffalo is a joke.

Every one of these games could be a win. They're not all going to be, but there isn't one team on this list that the Jets cannot beat with this pre-draft roster. The Jets are set up for a lot of success. They just need to prove it on the field.

Guess after all the off-season bitching, I'm fairly satisfied with the schedule.

Still not a Thanksgiving night fan, but when we beat the Bengals, all will be forgiven.

Your out of your mind if you think the Bills will beat us anytime in the next 3 years. It would be devastating to the psyche of our team to start 1-3. Rex will NOT let that happen.

    Possible Away Game Tailgates?

I'm going to Denver on Oct. 17 because Southwest has dirt cheap flights! I'm looking forward to starting a tailgate at Invesco for us forum nerds!

How sweet would it be for Revis to pick off Favre on MNF?!!!

He obviously gives a shit. That's why he asked.
NFL seems to have a love affair with the NFC East.

We did. 5-4 for primetime games. The tide has turned.
