sorry Carr was destroyed...bad o-line, no running game...he is now shell-shocked by being sacked an AVERAGE of 40 times per season for 5 years...no one-not unitas, not montana, not brady-could have succeeded with what he dealt with...i saw carr in College the kid could play-the texans threw him to the wolves and he NEVER got a fair chance to succeed...see, tough guys, there are excuses and then there are facts (reasons for things)...are u smart enough to tell the difference
If you are talking strictly about Sanchez's development, he's had TONS more help with that than MOST quarterbacks. The guy had one of the best defenses and running games in the league his first two years. Not the worst protection, either. How long does this "development period" last? Is there a formula? I swear, some people (not necessarily you) will not be satisfied unless there is a perfect surrounding cast before they start to blame the QB (or whoever else). To be clear, I'm a Bills fan, but that doesn't mean I'm pulling punches. I've been through this tons of times myself. In fact, it happens every single time a QB starts to suck. JP Losman, Trent Edwards, and now with Fitzpatrick...there are others, too. They don't protect him...he has no receivers...the run game...the coordinator...the defense...injuries...the list is long. Sanchez has NEVER shown himself to be a franchise QB or anywhere close. Some of you guys think that he is "good enough to win with" if you surround him with talent, but that's not exactly a ringing endorsement of his talent and capabilities. The guy currently has the worst completion percentage of any QB in the entire NFL, and he's never been really good there. Rail on me for being a troll or whatever, but I'm shooting straight from the hip here. The Jets traded up 12 spots to get the guy, so he didn't even start out with one of the worst teams in the league like most other high first-round QBs.
Sanchez can do no wrong apparently. He'd take your first born and you'd blame yourself for even having a child.
