Perhaps they like Mason Rudolph who they can get later.

I wanted Cousins, didn't happen - oh well. I see both sides to the argument about him. I like the McCown signing, ok with Teddy if the years are short. But, there's gotta be the FQB taken at 6. Use the 2 second rounders on pass rusher/Oline/CB combo. Whatever the best 2 available are of that group. Obviously, depending on who they sign in FA at those positions...

We weren't winning with Bradford and he just got 20M. We don't know if we can't win with Bridgewater, it depends. McCown looks to be insurance.

He will never beat Teddy in a competition, so its a waste of a pick.

Looks like McCown is the insurance against Teddy’s knee.

LMAO! If we sign Bridgewater and draft a QB at #6, we would be tying up around $20 million next year for the QB position!!!

And people had a problem paying a franchise QB, 29yr old Cousins $28-$30 mil a year.

    What a joke.

$10M for a 39 year old backup is very steep.

But it also makes no sense to have Teddy backup McCown.

    Idk what the plan is.

Say hello to Mason Rudolph or Lamar Jackson in the 2nd...not a fan of that plan but why sign both and have your first round pick get 3rd string snaps all season?

I will be very disappointed if McCown and Bridgewater prohibit the Jets from drafting a QB at 6.

If that's the case, I feel about done with this regime.

Because McCagan has no idea what he’s doing. He’s Phil Jackson level bad.

I would LOVE it to be Allen. He’s going to be good I think. Super good in all likelihood.

I think he could be the first or second QB taken.

He's more than insurance. It takes all the pressure off Bridge and the rookie, and he's also a mentor to both.

Paid 6M last year, paying 10M now, guess when you have all that money and nobody wants to play for you, throwing a couple extra mil at people doesn't matter......

Honestly, I know I'm not the only one who wants to burn all their Jets attire right now.

20 million is chicken feed for the QB position these days. Still I can't see both of them and somebody we draft still being on the team next year Shit, if we didn't cut him we would have been paying Wilkserson 20M THIS year. That proves how meaningless 20M is these days, especially at QB.

This makes the second time Macc has lost a bidding war for a QB with himself.. Did McCown play so well as to get a $4mil raise? I guess Macc thinks so and that's the only opinion that matters. Very Jetty indeed.
