So we’re playing tomorrow w 4 WRs 2 of which are special teamers yet We need to carry extra DBs..sounds about right
I know, they were all over him in the off season, were set to sign him before we did. I mean that and we all know that the Pats sign every single player who is ever cut by us and all other NFL teams. Why wouldnt they?
It won’t. I really hate that on a week where our rookie quarterback is going to be missing two of his most familiar targets, we try to backfill it with a kid off the practice squad who has never played in an NFL game. Nowhere near as severe, but early onset stages of ruining your young QB a la the Sanchez “remove all familiar targets” method.
I don't give a rat's behind what the Redskins and their fans like or don't like. I liked Pryor. He seemed like a cool dude, did his job and was producing at WR for the Jets. Biggest wr we HAD. Heck in a emergency situation he could also play QB. Makes no sense at all.
You cant actually believe this can you? Darnold will be ruined because he lost a jag WR, one who is no better than any number of WRs and who wasnt playing anyway given hes injured? People just arent getting that last part, he wasnt playing.
Pryor is a elite physical specimen. A tremendous athlete. He's started at QB in the NFL and was making the transition to wr. Good size, great work ethic a which can be seen in his physique. Three TDs in six games. I feel comfortable saying Pryor is in the upper echelon of top athletes playing in the NFL. Mind boggling decision by the Jets. They will miss him don't kid yourself.
I think you missed where I said it wasn’t severe. All I’m saying is you have a kid playing in his seventh ever NFL game and instead of signing a veteran receiver for him when you’re missing two starters, you decide to put a couple special team guys and a rookie who’s never played an NFL down in his life? That’s just poor management. And it really has nothing to do with Pryor honestly. Pryor was his one and only red zone target it seems, now it’s gone and you don’t bother to even try to replace him. Pryor isn’t hard to replace. But we didn’t.
They won't need him, Chad Hansen will have already told them all they need to know about our playbook, 6 days was all it took.
If they knew this guy was hurt why did they not make a move days ago ? Guys can downplay it all they want but Pryor was a big target in the redzone and yes he had a few tds . You want Sam throwing to special teamers and practice squad guys in practice NOT in an actual game !!!
But that kid was our QB's go to guy in college, so in all reality, that kid was playing with our kid QB 6 months ago or whatever the timescale for college football was, I doubt they would have brought up any other practice squad WR, they will be hoping that the chemistry will still exist. Let's hope it does.
I would love nothing more than for us to find a gem in UDFA but I have little reason to believe he’s an NFL receiver. Bottom line is unless we get a very pleasant surprise, we’ve made Sam’s job harder and it wouldnt have taken too much effort to make it easier.
Championship!! Obviously they are out of healthy people and Pryor is the best bet to not get signed or already has an agreement not to sign with anyone else and they will bring him back
Every game the guy has played other than his 1 snap in Jacksonville, he's caught a ball for 20+ yards. He's also caught 6 of his last 7 targets for 2 TD's. Seems productive enough to keep on the roster. I'm betting it's Miami who picks him up.
