comparing Dorsey and the Bills situation with the jets is ….something. And I bet something may come out on MC. This doesn’t seem to be a situation of making an example out of somebody. Or maybe it was because he was being a malcontent in the locker room.
Guys, let's be real this is a non-story and probably in large part a convenient distraction that Jets brass wanted right now given the extreme heat and scrutiny that Zach and Hackett are under right now. Happy trails to Carter but I honestly forgot he was even on the team this year. Ok I'm being sarcastic but only a little bit. He's not a loss at all is what I'm saying. I'm psyched to see what Izzy can do if Hackett gives him a chance.
I guess they had a players only meeting to "clear the air." you gotta wonder what was said during that
IMO, Nothing to do with the QB and everything to do with their poor performance. Davis stepped out of football period when AR was our QB so I don’t know how that is even relevant.
I can see Hackett, but for players, I’m still at a loss why all the heat is just on Zach, where Carter, Lazard, CJ Uz, the OL and Cook for starters are not carrying their weight at all, and commit massive bone head penalties to boot that take points of the board. The entire O should be scrutinized and under red alert.
I don't disagree that there's plenty of blame to go around on the O. However the QB is always going to take the lion's share and in Zach's case it's rightfully deserved.
The quarterback gets too much credit and too much blame; Always have, always will.... it's just the nature of the position.
Yes he does, but it would help if the rest step up to the plate. We lost two games due to penalties in my view.
Disagree completely. An average offense with an average QB would do that. But we have neither. Further, with those two scores Raiders have zero chance with our D.
obviously a lot is going wrong penalties may be from guys being undisciplined knuckleheads, but they might also be from guys who are pressing and trying just a little too hard,. either way they have to stop but a lot depends on the quality of the character involved.
I bet that's it. I mean Carter has been bad the last 2 years. Even with Breece injured, he had a chance to shine and did next to nothing. He showed flashes in his rookie year, but regressed since. I respect the kid and like his personality, but he's just not a good football player. His mind doesn't seem to be fully in the game. I think this also sends a message to the players that it doesn't matter how well-liked they are in the locker room, if they don't produce they are gone. Hopefully this lights a fire under people like Uzomah and Lazard. Dalvin Cook also looks like he's starting to return to form, but he didn't get a lot of reps. So who really knows? I like the idea of Izzy getting some reps.
the timing is weird. players have a "players only meeting" called by GW same day MC is released Players tweet how much they will miss MC all this happened in a span of hours
