it's why he isn't starting lol. I mean deion sanders sucked at tackling and was famous for making "business decisions" but dude can cover obviously. Adams was the one that fucked up on that 40yard jacobs run BTW
I know. This was another example of a guy no one likes but you go to the cross to say he's good. Hard pass
Didn't say he was good. just said he's come up with some big INTs for us in limited snaps and you tried to diminish it like he got lucky and thats hardly the case. you don't need to lie to make up reasons you don't like him.
How does this fix anything? I mean he's certainly expendable... but more change needs to be implemented. I hope the front office realizes that...
Yeah dude. Look at these unbelievable breaks he made on these amazing throws by the quarterbacks. https://www.nfl.com/videos/ashtyn-davis-reads-mahomes-eyes-for-leaping-int-on-underthrown-loft Flat footed jump on horrible Mahomes pass into double coverage. https://www.nfl.com/videos/ashtyn-davis-locates-the-football-for-first-career-int Ball thrown ten yards over the receivers head by Tua. Good play here playing robber. I’ll give him this one. Can’t find the other one. But he was completely awful when he played significant snaps.
I mean I know you love to call me out, but at least be right sometimes? in the 1st video, he's reading the QB the whole way. he takes away the right side. mahomes tries to look him off left. he doesn't bite on it. and makes a leaping over the head catch when mahomes tried to put it over him. sure it was a little under thrown but thats far from a "gimme" 2nd video was a huge overthrow but alot of those are just incomplete. was single high safety, davis reads the QB, started from outside the left hash and makes a sliding catch at the right numbers. smart play and good athletics taking a normal incomplete to an INT. again not a "gimme" 3rd one you gave him credit for so whatever. I never said he was good. I just said why hate a backup who has a knack for coming in and making big plays to seal games? it's literally what huff did last year and everyone loved him. came in late in games as a backup and made sacks in big moments
I've liked Carter during his time here, but he just wasn't getting it done here this year and was really not allowing the team to make full use out of that roster spot, considering all the mistakes. Hopefully this is a display of accountability to the rest of the offense and team that can maybe get some of the other guys headed in the right direction.
If they really wanna send a message, cut Cobb or Lazard. Sends the right message that no one is above accountability. Not even Rodgers pals.
The move is comical. There are teams firing coordinates and benching players who actually play. Jets main goal is to throw chum to the sharks by cutting a guy who plays 5-10 snaps a game like it matters. If it happened unceremoniously that's good.. but Saleh's goes into a presser and says oh boy changes are coming, fucking strap in. Then cuts a guy who never plays. That to me is the joke.
Superbowl here we come. What a move!! Reality though. Saleh mentioned making a personal change. He was likely talking about benching Carter for Izzy. I'm guessing Carter didn't take that very well and asked for his release. So they did. Izzy can't be any worse.
Agreed.. Just a PR move to placate a very angry fanbase. The FO/CS were rightfully savaged for sitting on their hands at the trade deadline so to make amends, they make a cosmetic move after Buffalo does a major one by cutting the OC. If they weren't so afraid of Rodgers, Hackett should have walked the plank today.
