He seems to have great speed, but from that video, he really didn't get much separation from the DBs in the video. I think he might be someone that needs more time in the gym to get more strength, because with the pads on, he seemed to not have other worldly speed that his 40 time indicated.
It's almost like Tanny is now taking a page from Al Davis' book.... we might not have the most talented WRs in the league but we sure as Sh*t will have the fastest lol
Arukwe apparently looked good as a gunner. I didn't see the last preseason game, so I didn't see a ton of him. TJB thinks he could take Trufant/Lankster's job. I tend to agree, more with Trufant.
What are you basing your statement about him being our best blocking WR on? I saw him make a couple of decent blocks, but nothing that opened my eyes about him. I'd take my chances on Hill before I held onto a fringe player like Turner for blocking.
Coles supposedly did it at FSU in 01. 4.16. Stuff like this isn't unheard of and won't be unheard of as sports science advances.
patrick turner gets a weird amount of love on this board. arukwe running a 4.1 40 though.. wtf. that can't be right.
He ran a 4.23 in pads. He definitely has the speed. Speed doesn't automatically give you a roster spot. A lot depends on it
From the video there seems to be a lot of wind. If it's pushing him and the surface is fast he can run a 4.1... plus it's manually timed...
