    Yeah, really! This news is actually bigger than it appears. Wasn't the siren removal basically a bow to either the NFL or the area of the Meadowlands? I think I recall it basically being something the Jets just submitted to pressure to.

    Bringing it back fits this team's persona. You don't like it? Tough shit. Try and stop us!

    If the Panthers are allowed to have that growl than the Jets should have always been allowed to keep the siren

    I heard the reason for the removal of the siren was that it was too similar to a emergency siren. I don't know if that is true or not, though

    That could be it. I recall the problem being that some entity made a stink about it. Thumbing our noses at that is good.

    Did anyone ever get an explanation to why it STOPPED last year????

    Just out of the blue it was gone one game and they tried to use these dinky ass sounds instead.

    When I tweeted the Jets the people answering said because it was annoying. But that's not right.

    I Also heard the league asked them to stop in case it was actually ever needed.

    There's always a chance he sticks around. Westy seems like the kind of guy that is going to have a hard time walking away from the game, especially if the Jets are still contenders and haven't won a SB yet.
