Jets coaches were notified within last couple days to report back to team facility today. Had been free to go on vacation in late June. #nyj - via Jenny Vrentas
ArmandoSalguero The Dolphins are selling #Jets shirts at their team store at Sun Life Stadium. Shirt says "Home of the Jets." losers
I agree that announcing to the press was a little classless, BUT if this guy wants his payday and cannot be contacted right now, then this is the only way to let would-be suitors know. Cro doesn't owe the Jets anything, they fronted him the money, sure. But it was his anyway. He played his part in a great season last year, so its a level business playing field. Braylon has also made a point of saying that he does want to remain a Jet, but will wait. Loyalty is day-by-day in this league, and we as fickle fans soon forget.
Kinda makes a mockery of the 'everyone wants to play for Rex' nonsense though. Closer to 'everyone wants to play for whoever is coaching the team that offers most money', same as it always was.
The other teams know, I promise you they know. What he said is for his agent to say, I understand where he is coming from. he should get as much as he possibly can. Players only have so many opportunities to get the big pay day but after the what the Jets did for him on and off the field he could have handled it differently in public.
Most players will go for the money but if the dollars are close we'll get the players more often than not b/c of Rex.
According to Peter King, Aso wants to play for the Jets (or at least, that's what he's hearing. So take it for what it's worth.)
Peter King is the ultimate rumor plant "columnist". Never believe anything he says because everyone lies to him and he always believes them. I use quotes on columnist because he writes and has a featured column at SI, but what he writes is not worthy of being called a column. It is more like an incoherent and very douchey blog filled with poor guesses at football news. Football column dysentery.
The dudes made his money and wants to win...problem is he can prolly go to Tampa for way more money and win there as well
Tampa plays in one of the toughest divisions in the NFC. They'll be in tough against the Saints and Falcons.
http://twitter.com/#!/janesports/status/94405982892986368 Edwards said he definitely wants to remain a Jet, hope he gets deal in first 3 days exclusive signing period. #Jets #NFL
Screw it, I'm putting this in here. It could be nothing, but... So did the players vote already, and nobody told ESPN
