No to NYG, GB, Car, NO, Den, Atl, Pitt and the only reason Dal and NE would be ahead is b/c TO and Moss are 2 of the best so ti doesn't matter who starts opposite them.

The Giants WR tandem is much better than ours. You have lost your mind. Burress is on a different planet than either Coles or Cotch and Toomer is as good as both of them.

I believe that David Clowney will need to take a bunch of reps with Favre to get on the same page -- just like the others have to.

Through the first 3 quarters I thought Favre had time to throw but could not find any open receivers. Why does Coles and last night Cotch dissapear when we play good teams? I mean, 7 yd. passes to the TE are not going to win you many games. We lack a game breaker and have for years. That said, the only positive on offense is i thought they finally got into a rhtymn last night so hopefully it carrys over. The offense has an excuse, what's the defenses problem?

You did notice, didn't you, that first turnover was on the kind of short pass that you like, to a receiver (Coles) you say is fine, and he had position on the ball, but somehow he let the CB reach in form behind him and get the ball? That was a good job on a short pass by Coles???

I continue to be mystified by this Clowney fascination. People who on other threads keep insisting that the Jets have a good, deep WR corp, one that is better than GB's, simultaneously keep holding up Clowney as some kind of crown jewel of it -- the same Clowney who could not even make the Packer's WR depth chart & so they let him go.

    Huh.

how many pts were we scoring per game back then? How much has Coles' production diminished since then? Why must you make this about Chad Pennington? Not to mention, your "glory years" with Chad netted us shit. We were always overmatched come playoff time and had no consistent, dependable way to score points.

Burress last season? yes but the rest of their careers coles has been better and Cotch is better than Toomer.

Coles is still hurting, so it's no surprise he looks a little slower out there.

The last thing the offense needs is someone else learning the system on the fly.

Didn't Cotch chase down that DB that picked up the fumble?... he did not look slow to me.

Favre won a hell of a lot of games throwing TD's to TE's.

Well, I think that's what you saw last night, if you were watching. Lots of production, not so much crying.

Coles did alright. That INT was not his fault the pass was a little behind him and late.

The main thing that the WRs and the QB needs is AN OFFENSIVE LINE THAT KEEPS THE PASS RUSH OUT....!!!

Clowney will be the #4 or 5 WR. He won't be on the field much, but when he is he will be the fly guy. Not much in the way of fancy patterns. Just fly down the side lines. If they can hook up a few times, teams will have to respect him because of his speed
