He's a good blocker, kinda wat we need. his hands suck and he's slow

he can run block, and is a big possession receiver.

isn't that what the Jets were lacking?

 

I just wish they used him more in the red zone this past season.

I don't get why Hutchinson says this is a mild surprise. Did he honestly think the Jets were going with Keller and a few rookie FA's at TE? Franks knows the system. He's a decent blocker. As long as he stays healthy - a big if - Franks will help.

 

The guy simply can't catch, he has worse hands than A. Becth... IF that's even possible...

 

Awesome, as long as they aren't expecting him to catch anything.

 

6'6'', 265lbs, experienced in the offense, comes fairly cheap. What is not to like. Chalk it up as a good role player signing.

 

He was one of Favres favorite red zone targets thru the years in GB. That chemistry should have carried over to NY but they didnt utilize him in the RZ

 

It's possible to have worse hands than Jets-era Anthony Becht, but Bubba Franks doesn't qualify.

I agree. I did not want to see Baker go.

 

I wouldnt mind having becht back he was a great blocker would could use that now

 

Since KC will be the starting QB, Bubba probably spent alot of time with the 2nd team last year, it makes sense to me.
