I just stopped by the rally. The flag girls danced around for a whiile and no one cared. It's not a good setting - only like 60 people are close enough to the stage to see what's going on and everyone else is blocked by cameras. The speakers aren't loud enough for anyone past that to hear either. So you have hundreds of people in Jets gear just standing around and cheering back there.
Well, you know David Paterson isn't reading off a cheat sheet. And the dude knows his fucking football. Same with the Mets, he went into the booth with Gary, Keith, and Ron, and was pulling out the most random Mets references that even Gary could barely keep up. Dude's a legit fan.
Yea, he's been on on Boomer and Carlton before and spit Jets knowledge. He's hardcore. He's talked about the heartbreaking loss the year after Superbowl 3.
I just got back from there. No one could get near the stage so we all had to watch the damn thing from one of Times Square's jumbo monitors. It was fun doing the J-E-T-S chant right in the middle of Times Square though.
It was terrible. However, i fulfilled a lifelong dream of getting on my buddies shoulders and leading the masses in numerous jets chants. Thanx to those who went along with it....
I was listenin to some of it on the radio...it was cool hearin Fireman Ed goin "The third times a charm...we're knocking on the door!!"
