I've learned to stop speculating. The NFL has so much parity that any team can beat anyone in any given week. Check the scoreboard on any Sunday and you'll find 3-4 games that make you go "wait, WHAT?". Just sit back and watch the game, and hope that after the next 3 we get to keep playing.

Who cares what happened to Caronlina in the Super Dome? just about every team goes there and gets blown out. The 2011 Giants went there and got massacred and won the Super Bowl.

The fact that we beat the Saints and they lose doesnt mean much at imo. They have 9 wins, we have 6, thats the only relevant thing imo.

The Jets are probably the highest variance team in the NFL.

I love all these predictions because end of the day, I don't think even the Jets have any idea how they are going to show up.

I will not be surprised if this is like the falcons game or like the bengals game. Both very realistic possibilities.

I just realized the Fins game this weekend doesn't matter at all

    -------------------------------
We need to win 3 straight

    and

Baltimore needs to lose 2 out of 3
    --------------------------------

How about this for a hypothetical scenario(which is actually possible),

Jets lose against Carolina, and win last 2 games

Fins lose against pats, win against buffalo, lose to Jets

    Ravens lose 3 straight games

I believe the Jets win the last wild card at 8-8(assuming Pitt, SD and Tenn each lose 1 of their remaining games). We actually would have the tiebreaker against SD in such a case as well.

That would be so much fun!!

Watching the Jets play is fun. Watching them play in the playoffs is a lot of fun. If they lose they lose but I'm never going to want to see them not play a game on a given weekend if it's possible.

It's a long time between week 17 and the draft. Then it's a long time between the draft and the opening of camp.

This is not good if San Diego wins this game.

This is bad for the Jets. They basically need the Chargers to lose at home to Oakland or KC now, and KC might not have anything to play for.

As long as KC wins it's next two games, they'll still be playing for the division title @ SD in week 17. If they lose to Oak or Indy we're screwed.

BTW --- SD is about 1000x better than we are. They actually look like a playoff team. The truth is, they deserve to be there.

There is only one 'given' in the NFL: At the end of the season, the Chargers will fold like a cheap suit.

Just cross them right off the list.

No sure where this is coming from..

Since 2006, Phillip Rivers and the Chargers have won more games in December than any other QB and team. (28-6 record)

They certainly look like a playoff team to me. Our Jets? they look like the frauds.
