There is no reason that we shouldnt take both games from the Phins. If we beat the Bills, We'd only have to go 2-2 against the Ravens, Raiders, Browns, and Panthers to pretty much clinch (I don't see the Ravens going 5-1 with their schedule even if they beat us). 2-2 isn't necessarily easy, but it isn't anything hard. If we could beat Buffalo and Baltimore, we're pretty much set.
Whooooo we got a near perfect week, the Ravens win was the only negative but the big ones we got (Titans, Chargers, Phins). These 5 loss teams have to go 5-2 just to get to 9 win now.
Jets have to take care of their own business and we can be in the Tournament. Knowing the Jets, we will make it real interesting by losing a few games that we really needed to win.
Nice useless INT--it was 4th down .. just dropping the ball would have given the Bucs the ball at the 15 yard line and god forbid they screwed up a snap still created a long field. Phins O-Line looked awful and they had no running game. Pressure Tanny and the phins don't have much else.
I think win one of the next two, then sweep Mia and Oak at home. Jets need to prove they can win more often on the road.
Who to cheer for Week 11: Baltimore @ Chicago Oakland @ Houston Cleveland @ Cincinnati Detroit @ Pittsburgh Indianapolis @ Tennessee San Diego @ Miami
With the exception of the Ravens winning, this weekend basically went as good as it possibly could! Fuck the dolphins, Fuck the chargers, fuck the raiders, fuck the titans, and GO JETS.
Next week cheer for the Chargers, they still have two games against the Chiefs, games against Denver, Giants, Bengals. If the Chargers beat the Phins, the Phins are essentially dead. Would rather the Phins dead than alive considering the Chargers are screwed themselves.
Revis isn't on the Jets, but he's still helping them! Down with the phins!! We now have a solid 1.0 game lead for the WC spot. Destiny is indeed in our hands
Looking at the remaining schedules of all the 4-5 teams, they all have some tough sledding ahead. They all can easily go 7-9 to 8-8. Not getting my hopes up but the Jets can certainly make the postseason.
The game was over, short field or not. If Revis doesn't catch it and instead bats it, there's a chance someone else catches it. Not worth the risk. End the game.
I'm pretty sure the Jets were implied and even if the Panthers beat the Patriots, it is still near impossible for them to lose enough games to give the Jets a chance at the division. Jets would need to close out with 10-11 wins based on NE's remaining schedule for that and I don't see that happening. I'll still gladly cheer for Panthers, but the other games are more important IMO. I'm also going to add Packers to the list, just so I can stop hearing these idiotic Giants apologists on ESPN radio every day. I remember when the Jets had a very slim chance at making it and they were instantly dismissed by the same people that are going out of their way to find any remote possibility for the Giants to make it. Sorry but the Giants still haven't beaten ANYBODY. They are lucky Rodgers is out because that would be a sure loss.
yeah after denver and carolina its not looking so tough for the infallible belichick's. they have to lose to the either the fins or bills for us to even have a shot based on divisional record, other than that theres the browns ravens in baltimore and texans in houston. I don't like those odds... or our odds of getting 10 or more wins frankly.
I'm with you. However, I just do not feel the need to cheer for other teams to lose at the moment. The Jets are 5-4, in solo possession of the #6 seed, and still have to face the Dolphins (2) , Raiders, Ravens and Browns. Win those games, and you are in the playoffs. Lose them, and you don't deserve to be in. Just that simple to me.
Letting it drop would have been better for TEAM BUT Catching it was better for Mevis, his stats and his holdout next offseason for more guaranteed $$$
