wow i had no idea taht they moved the Ravens - Bengals game to 4:15. thats actually pretty sweet since now we can watch the Jets while focusing on the Texans-Titans in the background and then come 4:15 watch the Ravens game and then pay attention to the other 2 games in the background
I read a stat yesterday on ProFootballFocus that said with 15 more yards let up McCourty will be the first CB in NFL HISTORY to allow 1,000 rec yards to a receiver. Thats ATROCIOUS. Sophomore slump huh? Also if anyone wants some optimism regarding the playoffs ESPN insider article has an article on playoff scenarios where they project the Jets to make the playoffs because they think every single game will go the Jets ways despite a 13.6% chance of making it (they projected this based off 1,000 simulations) 6. New York Jets (9-7) Change: -39.2% Mark Sanchez and company will need to take down Miami and have Cincinnati and Tennessee lose to even have a chance at the postseason. That's not all: They will also need either Oakland or Denver to lose to grab the No. 6 spot. According to our algorithm, however, Cincinnati, Tennessee and Oakland should all lose this week and the Jets will win. The probability of all four events occurring, however, is pretty low.
I honestly hope we don't make the playoffs. I think it'll be better for us in the long run. Maybe we'll hold coaches and players accountable.Unlike last year, I don't see us as a wild card team making any type of noise.
doubtful IMO too many coincidences or plane crashes are needed to make it happen Draft 2012 time is nearly at hand
So if the Jets win and the Titans lose, and then in the later games Baltimore and SD win, catapulting the Jets into the playoffs, you'll be like "dammit FML"
i don't think many of us saw the jets as making any noise in 2009 either, you never know, just get in I say.
okay a little help----------IF PITT loses at 1pm do the Ravens have anything to play for at 4 pm ? I think that Pitt should win but am I wrong, does Balt have anything to play for if Pitt loses?
THE JETS STILL NEED TO WIN AGAINST THE DOLPHINS.. I will worry about the other games only if the Jets win. The Dolphins have been playing well, and were very unlucky to no beat the Pats. I can see us getting blown out if we put up PATHETIC performances like we have the last 2 games..
my point was you never know in regards to making noise, it can be done, just need alot of outside help this time. For all the ehlp they need, it is still not out of the question, asking for 3 other scenarios to comethrough besides winning on your own as well is asking alot but the matchups are there for it to happen.
Matt Ryan graded out as a more effective running QB than Aaron Rodgers and Michael Vick. Raw stats are nice but their grading system is highly suspect.
I think we have a better shot at the postseason than most people think. Ravens need this next game, Oakland IMO sucks without McFadden and Palmer is a turnover machine. Tennessee is more inconsistent then us so we have a pretty good shot.
Well thats the good thing about postseason play, everyone's record is 0-0 and who knows what can happen. 2009 team was 9-7 and we made some noise, either way Shotty is gone this offseason so as a Jet fan I want to see us redeem ourselves a bit in the postseason.
